The project objective was to provide assistance to the Ministry of Economy and European Integration of Ukraine and state administrations in the pilot oblasts in development and implementation of transparent and efficient national regional policies stimulating economic growth.
NI-CO practitioners supported the project objective through:
- Improving staffing capacity of the national, regional and local authorities to formulate and implement regional development policies;
- Approximating the Ukrainian regional development framework to the European best practices;
- Developing strategies for the Improvement of economic, social, ecological and cultural conditions and increasing the competitive advantages of selected pilot oblasts;
- Developing link to improve cooperation on regional development between stakeholders: national & local authorities, local governments, private sector and civil society.
