Support to the development of a system of medical standards – EU funding €2 million

The wider objective of this project was to contribute to the sustained development of an effective and efficient health care delivery system in Ukraine. To define basic packages of service and develop medical standards for primary health care and secondary health care and test them in selected pilots.

• Review of relevant policies and recommendations for improvement
• Advice on medical standards, clinical pathways and costing of medical services.
• Establishment of standards training centre for healthcare providers and managers
• Development of standards/guidelines methodology and training materials.
• Piloting of protocols, standards and recommendations.
• Establishment for Quality Assurance Accreditation.
• Development of health reforms communications strategy.
• National IT strategy and implementation of ICT system for management of data
• Study visits to the UK, Spain and Slovakia.
