Institutional Twinning
Institutional Twinning is one of the European Commission’s most successful programmes to support European Enlargement. The programme aims to provide 1-2 years of practical and targeted support to new member states and applicant countries through encouraging civil servants from Member States to work alongside their direct counterparts.
As the central marketing unit of the Northern Ireland public service overseas, NI-CO have been at the forefront of promoting the benefits of European Enlargement to central government departments and agencies throughout the UK wishing to build relationships with new member states and candidate countries and to avail of the increasing opportunities presented through the EU Institutional Twinning programme.
